Flowers in Downtown Struthers

I think most residents of Struthers would like to see downtown revitalized. It’s probably easier said than done, given that the buildings are privately owned. I would like to see either hanging baskets on lamp posts or planters on the sidewalk with flowers. It would be something visually appealing to focus on if you enter/exit Struthers from the north side other than the empty buildings.

There are currently planters in the downtown. They are planted every year and are beautiful! We used to do hanging baskets, but they were difficult to water. If you want to volunteer to plant them or water them contact Melanie from the 1st ward block watch at 330-506-7690. Thanks!
