Focusing on priorities to improve Struthers.

First of all, I’m very excited to have a plan set up that is asking for community involvement. I feel that we should focus on the most beneficial ares first. Entering downtown should be colorful and catch the eye. ex: A fountain,,surrounded with flowers. The next priority should be focused on the people. Bike paths, dog parks- back burner. Having a community center where the youth and all ages of our citizens can benefit should be a priority. Also, I would love to see committees from each ward ,so that ideas and problems in each ward can/ will be addressed. Each Councilman from their wards, can chair the meetings and then report back to the committee in charge of the city’s plan. Also, a major area of concern should be a group of citizens, pull from the youth , interested citizens - get the schools involved , to have a beautification group focusing each month on a designated area to clean. They can do this 3-4 times a year. There’s always more progress when more are involved and have a particular purpose. Handicap accessibility needs to be considered also .
