Thank you for your idea, Louise! We are very excited to engage Struthers' youth. They have great ideas for making the city more enjoyable for all, and demonstrate the importance of accessible transportation and public space networks.
The City of Struthers has a great relationship with the Struthers school district, of which we are making great use. We will be meeting with the junior and senior classes in February and March, and exploring unique ways to engage the younger kids. I love your idea about creating an activity that they can complete with their parents.
We will keep you informed as we develop the youth engagement activities!

Maybe send a form home with the student to complete with parents. Ask questions of what they think their city needs and what they would like to see. Their perspective is valuable and in many cases eye opening. Im sure some kids will come up with some crazy unrealistic stuff But some may have ideas that our generation doesn't know what is important or interesting to them.

Yes ma’am
Have a flyer going home next week and forming/formed a youth committee through the high school. Senior class President Makyra Clarett is head of the committee. We definitely need the input of our youth!
