Lower hanging fruit first

There have been many interesting Ideas submitted for improving the quality of life in Struthers. As the process moves forward, in the short term focus should be on competing and enhancing projects already underway like the relocation of the library to the entrance of Yellow Creek, reestablishing the hiking trails in Yellow Creek all the way to the Hopewell site, enhancing access to the river for recreational purposes, removing blighted properties.

In the short term a dog park seems to be doable and is not a high cost project (the former Fifth Street Park or Northside park seem like a good locations), relocate the recycling center at the foot of the bridge and install a fountain and pocket park and string lights over the 616 Bridge and a splash pool at Mauthe Park.

In the longer term, the city hall is totally inadequate and the construction of a new city hall that includes community meeting space could be considered, extending needed utilities on Bob Cene Way to encourage development of the forty acres environmentally remediated.
