Submit your feedback for a walkable, bikeable Struthers
We want to see a more connected Struthers with more mobility options. So, we're out to understand how people get from point A to point B – and how they want to – using various modes of transportation. Especially in accessing basic services and amenities, like school or the grocery story.
A connected bike and pedestrian network would increase the community's quality of life and resilience. The presence of infrastructure that adds safe and enjoyable transportation options such as walking, biking, and taking public transit could offset the amount of vehicle miles traveled in the city. This has a positive impact on health and wellbeing, social cohesion, and the natural environment and lends to:
- safer streets
- cleaner air
- a greater sense of community
- economic vibrancy
- autonomy of movement for residents of all ages and abilities
So tell us. Is there a particular route where you'd prefer to bike, but don't feel safe to do so? Would you like to walk to school, but there are no sidewalks to get there? Maybe you like to walk at night, but need more street lighting. Perhaps there's no bike rack at the grocery store. Help us identify projects that can enable you to get around, outside of the car.
